Joanne Bernstein Garden Design

After twenty years making exhibitions of modern and contemporary art for museums and galleries worldwide, Joanne Bernstein now brings her expert eye to garden design.

Joanne completed a three-year Diploma (NOCN) in Garden Design at Capel Manor Horticultural College and is a Pre-Registered Member of The Society of Garden Designers. She is based in London.

During her previous career as a curator, she organised exhibitions at the Tate, Hayward Gallery and Barbican Art Gallery, among others, collaborating with high-profile artists and architects. Joanne has a BA in Art History and an MA in Gallery Studies and Critical Curating.

Her work is informed by the history of art and architecture and her love of landscape and plants. Her own garden has been published in numerous magazines and was featured on the BBC’s flagship gardening programme, Gardeners’ World. It will open for the 4th time for the National Garden Scheme (NGS) on 5 July 2020.
